Digital Photo Printing Opportunity in India

Monday, April 25th, 2011

Photo Prints and Gifts is an excellent partnership opportunity for mini labs and photo studios to get into digital photo printing partnerships. The digital transition in the US and the west is at 50% or more. As a result a number of family owned, regional photo players have gone out of business. Big enterprises have either bought our pushed out small photo studios. Arguably India’s transition to digital is faster than its western counterparts – because of mobile cameras. Do consumers get the true advantage of going digital? Are businesses truly leveraging the potential of digital transition? Why should we continue to send photos to friends and relatives as email attachments? Can I share photos from my mobile to another mobile?

Answers to the above is www.PhotoPrintsandGifts.com

Mini color labs in India are not deriving sustainable revenues in the digital transition compared to their counterparts in China and Japan. True digital transition has to clearly go beyond putting a pen drive to a printer. From printing a digital album to enhanced digital prints the digital printing catalog can be very interesting for neighborhood photo studios. PPG gets mini labs a share of true digital photo printing and the online photo service action. This is a quantum leap for mini labs to offer sustainable, truly world class digital enhancements and creative photo solutions.

This impact of brick – click – mortar partnership is an effective digital photo printing solution for the end consumer. The beauty of the model is that the online arm feeds the offline presence and vice versa. The mini lab has more products and services to sell and add to the revenue base. In The online presence will direct more customers to neighborhood print and pick up points. This means, more revenue without incremental investments.

PPG is loaded with over 1000 creative digital assets: borders, themes, and layouts that are made for India, paying attention to multi cultural and diversified tastes that we have as a billion+ nation. These are now available for free online use.

About PPG

What are you doing with your photos today? This is the quest that the founding team of photo and imaging experienced professionals went to find out from the photo products (prints and gifts) markets in Asia -Pac. The answers were numerous, some relatively clear, a lot “not so sure.” The consensus was that the photo products consumer (B2C, B2B2C or B2B) in most parts of Asia Pacific does not enjoy quality photo solutions with globally prevalent cost efficiencies.Providers of high quality, creative, easy to use and affordable photo storage, preservation and social expression solutions are a handful and this creates a supply side constrained scenario (which very rarely benefits the consumer). This eureka moment (more a period of study) lead to the birth of Photo Prints and Gifts (PPG). World-class, affordable photo products and services to the Asia-Pacific region becomes a reality with PPG. PPG is a photo, web, and mobile communications medium that makes photo expressions creative, enjoyable, and effective.

Urvashi Dhanorkar Photo – See Them Now!

Sunday, May 17th, 2009
Trudi ALTENBURG asked:

Check Out Urvashi Dhanorkar Photos

It appears that small time Indian actor, Ms. Urvashi Dhanorkar was taken into custody on Saturday (22nd August 2009) by Mumbai police after being charged with badly treating her 10 year old household servant.

Urvashi Dhanoarkar was taken in under the Child Labour Act of 1986 as well as the Juvenile Justice act of 2000 and is being held at a Mumbai polic station awaiting a court hearing.

She was taken in after medical reports confirmed that her 10 year old child domestic servant was repeatedly physically abused and assaulted. She is likely to appear in court today (Saturday, 22nd August 2009).

It was discovered that the 10 year old girl had been punished in a variety of ways including; being hit in her eye, being whiped or beaten on her back and her arm being burnt. Her parents are due to arrive from Amravati soon, where the 10 year old was taken from by Urvashi Dhanorkar after promising her parents that she’d live a better life and get an education.

The girl let lose what had happened to the police after she managed to escape from Urvashi’s house where she was being locked up. Neighbour’s of Urvashi found the girl beaten cruelly with burn marks and reported the situation to the police.

This isn’t the first time a case like this has happened. Girls are often taken from their homes unwillingly in certain parts of India and trafficked to the capital for a whole variety of abuse including physical labour or sex work.
