How to Choose a Good Photography Institute?

Saturday, January 28th, 2012

A lot of students are now taking up photography as their career. And why not? This is an extremely well paying job once you get a good break. Earlier, this particular profession was merely discarded as a hobby. If someone wished to pursue it as a full-time career, he was discouraged by family or friends because photography can’t very well be a “job” for someone. Those eras are gone and you can easily pursue a photography course in Kolkata to become a true professional in this field.

Since this choice of career is greatly in demand, photography institutes in Kolkata have mushroomed by the dozen. However, not all of them provide good exposure and job placements. Therefore before enrolling at any institute, keep these points in mind:

Check to see if the school is offering both general and specialized courses. You may choose to be a general photographer capturing a variety of subjects, but if you want to specialize in a particular area such as nature or wildlife, then you have to be trained properly for that purpose.
Basic knowledge of photo editing software is needed. There are new and updated softwares that are being released into the market so make sure that the course includes teaching the basics of photo editing as well.
There are many technical and scientific aspects to photography. If you thought that taking good pictures was all about aiming the camera and clicking, then you couldn’t be more wrong! This is a very serious profession and students need to be the master of all the aspects related to this subject.
This is a slightly expensive course so make sure that you go through the curriculum and evaluate if the course is actually worth the money that is being charged for it. Quite a few colleges charge an astronomical sum but in reality they are simply not worth that much. Analyze each part of the curriculum and then decide if you want to enroll or not.

If you take the above mentioned factors into account, it will be easier for you to choose the best college to join among the various photography institutes in Kolkata. Always remember that a good school is the first step to success because you need to have proper training in capturing images and it takes a lot of dedication and practice to perfect this art. All the best!

Just like any other kind of school, the appropriate selection of a photography school which will meet the needs of the students is essential for a good education. This article tries to lay down some tips on how you can choose a good photography school. Listed below are the tips:

- Look at the bigger picture

In choosing a photography school, you must be able to look from afar to able to see the bigger picture. The selection of a photography school must be made under consideration of your general career goals. There are several tracks which can be taken in the field of photography.

If you intend to be involved in the more artistic side of photography, you can get more subjects which will aid you in this goal. If you are more inclined towards the commercial side of photography, you can choose a school which offers good business courses on side of the photography classes.

- Photography is more than point-and-shoot

Some people may want to take up photography just to escape from the “hard” subjects, especially those which involves math. Guess what? These are things that a photographer needs to take to be able to survive in the real world. Since most photographers would eventually own their own studios, courses in business management, accounting, marketing and other such courses are important and should be taken by photography students.

- Inquire about the size of the class

Too many people in photography classes can really be a hindrance towards proper learning. It will also prohibit the instructor in giving hands-on supervision on the students.

- Computer skills

A good photography school needs to have courses regarding the use of computers. The field of photography is a very competitive one and you could really use some knowledge of computers. With the advent of digital photography, the need for computer literacy is more evident than ever.

How to choose a wedding photographer and some questions you can ask

Monday, December 12th, 2011

Getting married is an amazing experience. It is a day filled with emotion, joy, happiness and sometimes a little sadness when a family member or friend who is no longer with us is not there to share our special day.

As a wedding photographer in Yorkshire we know how traumatic arranging your wedding day can be. With so many photographers around, where do you start? What do you need to know when looking for a wedding photographer? With prices ranging from a few hundred pounds to many thousands, how do you know if they are right for you?

It is a simple fact of life that with the arrival of digital cameras, many people now call themselves a “photographer”. Over recent years there has been an explosion of people offering their services as wedding photographers, many of who have never received any training, have no insurance, do not use professional equipment and do not have sufficient backups in place to cater for any eventuality.

A professional photographer will have all of the above and this post is a quick “Help Guide” to the things to look for and the questions we recommend you ask when choosing a wedding photographer. Grab yourself a cuppa and get comfy. This is not a definitive guide, merely a general overview of what to look for.

Looking for a Photographer:

Personal Recommendations:
Have you been to a wedding recently? What did your friends think of their photographer? As a Yorkshire wedding photographer the majority of our clients come from personal recommendations from either Bride and Grooms who have used us, or from Venues that know the quality of the work we produce and the fantastic value for money we offer. For example, at the time of writing, we are the Resident Photographers at the Chevin Country Park Hotel in Leeds. Personal recommendations are one of the best ways of choosing your photographer as they will have a proven track record.

Google And Other Search Engines:
A quick search on any of the major search engines will produce a mind numbing amount of choices. For example, if you type into Google the search terms “Wedding Photographer Yorkshire” it will return somewhere in the region of 2,770,000 results (yes we are there on Page 1). Simply going through each result would take you years, so as a general rule of thumb, stick with those on page 1 or page 2. The reason for this is simple: If they are on page 1 or 2 then they have taken the time to ensure that their website is well designed, optimised and placed, to ensure that their products or services are easy to find for prospective Bride and Grooms.

Choosing A Photographer

As soon as you have decided on a date, have booked your wedding venue and received confirmation then book all other services required for your wedding day as quickly as possible. Leaving it to the last minute to book your wedding photographer is not a good idea. To give you an example, as a wedding photographer in Yorkshire, we often get booked two years in advance! Many Bride and Grooms start looking for their photographer the day they get engaged.

Websites:
The first thing to do is look at a photographers website but do NOT be fooled into thinking this is the be all and end all. Always concentrate on the images and not the website design. These days for a few hundred pounds you can have a real classy looking website designed. Never forget that a website only shows the content that the photographer WANTS you to see. You will only generally see the best images, the ones they want to use to showcase their abilities so take a good look around the website. Have a look and see how many different weddings you can see. If there is only one or two, have they only photographed a few weddings? Also how much information does the photographer give you? Are they up front about their prices or do you have to go in and see them to find out how much they charge? Do they give you specific detailed information about their services?

Also be VERY wary if they say they are a member of a “Professional Trade Organisation”. Some trade organisations only require photographers to pay an annual subscription fee to join then allow the photographer to use the Organisations logos on their website. Indeed some organisations have absolutely no joining requirements, you do not even have to own a camera and your Granny, who has no idea about photography, could join if she wanted. Do your homework and check out Trade Organisations carefully as they are not all the same. Some are for full time professionals only and Members are required to undergo evaluation, inspection and have insurance documents checked, others simply let you pay a nominal amount and declare you to be a “Professional Photographer”. Remember that the photography industry is not regulated and anyone can claim to be a “photographer”.

Price:
If it seems too good to be true, chances are it is!
Many photographers just starting out tend to charge really low prices and only cover their costs. Many see your wedding as a way of building a portfolio of wedding images. Now this won’t apply to all budget priced photographers but as a general rule of thumb, if the price seems really low, then there is a reason for it, so try and find out what it is.

For many Bride and Grooms, price ends up being the determining factor. You spend hundreds, if not thousands on the dress, the venue charges a small fortune, then there are the cars, the Groom’s attire, Bridesmaids dresses, the cake, the flowers – cutting costs on your wedding photography can result in poor wedding photographs resulting in huge disappointment and photographs of the day that you simply do not want to look at. Remember it is a one shot event – to get everyone back to retake the photographs will be time consuming and very expensive.

Make An Appointment:
Until you go meet the photographer, you won’t be fully informed if they are the right person for the job. At the meeting ask to see photographs from AT LEAST five recent weddings. Ask if the photographer has worked at your venue before and if so ask if you can see some images from that wedding. Ask to see the demo albums – is there a good range to choose from? Does the photographer have letters of recommendation from previous clients, if so ask to see them. Does the photographer work from home or from a Studio?

During this meeting there are some really important questions to ask, a few are detailed below:

Q. How long have you been trading and how many weddings have you photographed?
If the answer is “6 months and 2 weddings, both of them friends of the family who I didn’t charge because I need the experience and the images for my portfolio” – is this the right photographer for you?

Q. Are you insured?
All professional photographers should carry Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance. If they don’t then tread carefully.

Q. What are your prices, and what do I get in my package?
Seems a silly question to ask right? Well no! There is nothing worse than handing over your hard earned cash only to find that after the wedding you are not getting what you thought you were. Is there an album in the package? How many hours coverage do you get? What additional products are included in the price? Does the price include image editing? Do you have an overtime fee if we run over?

Q. Do you contract out your wedding photography service?
Picture this scene….. you spend months researching photographers, finally decide on one, get them booked then on the wedding day, someone you have never met before turns up to photograph your big day. How are you going to feel? Angry?

Make sure that the person you book with is the person who will attend and take your wedding photographs. Sounds simple I know but you will be surprised just how many photographers sub contract out their work to other, often inexperienced and uninsured, photographers. It is a practice we do NOT subscribe to. If you book with us then it is Mark Pearson Photography who covers your wedding, not an outsider.

Q. Is this your full time job?
Many photographers have full time jobs and photograph weddings on a part time basis so may not necessarily be available to answer your questions or emails during normal working hours. If you have a last minute question, it may take some time to get a response or you may not be able to schedule meeting times that are convenient to you.

Q. Do you provide a written contract?
It is absolutely critical that you receive a written contract detailing your exact expenditure and what products/services you are getting. Do NOT accept contracts that are sent by email.

Q. How many weddings do you cover per day?
If the answer is anything other than ONE – be careful. Many photographers will cover more than one wedding a day and this can lead to problems at YOUR wedding. What if the first wedding runs late? This will mean that the photographer may be late to yours.

Q. Can I see some of your work / view the demo albums?
Make sure you have a good look at the photographers work. Look at image quality, look at album quality. Looking at images of babies, sunsets, buildings or family portraits will not give you any idea of their abilities as a wedding photographer. Also ask the question “Is this from a real wedding?”. You will be amazed just how many photographers use images taken on training days in their portfolios. They attend a training session where a Trainer sets up the shot then tells the photographer how to take it. The image may be amazing but can they reproduce it during a real wedding with all the pressure and stresses involved?

Q. What backup equipment do you bring to the wedding?
It never fails to amaze me that photographers still attend a wedding with only ONE camera! If that camera breaks down what are they going to do? Pop out their mobile phone and carry on shooting? We always bring a full range of backup equipment to every wedding. For example, we bring backup digital cameras, extra storage cards, a laptop, blank discs, spare batteries and a portable studio if the weather is wet and we have to shoot indoors.

Q. Do you do a pre-wedding site visit?
Have you ever been to a wedding and when it comes to having the photographs taken, it is absolute chaos? Uncle John has gone to check in, Aunty Flo has nipped to the loo, your Best Man has popped to the bar. Surely the Bride and Groom should have been a bit more organised shouldn’t they? Well actually no!

This is down to the photographer and not the happy couple. Whenever we photograph a wedding, we always go out and do site visits at the locations. This allows us to create a plan for the day which we discuss in detail with each Bride and Groom. Nobody wants to be stood around for hours waiting to be photographed, so we work closely with each couple to ensure that this doesn’t happen. We also have a wonderful way that we use to ensure that the photographs go smoothly and quickly. Pop in for a chat and we will show you it!

Q. What “style” do you photograph in?
There are different styles such as Traditional, Reportage, Photojournalistic, Fashion, Glamour – does the photographer photograph in the style YOU are wanting? Do they do it weekend in, weekend out, or are they trying to photograph in a way they may not necessarily do on a regular basis. Get this bit right and you will love your wedding photographs as you will receive what you expected. Get it wrong and you could end up hating them.

Q. Will you put my wedding photographs online for our guests to see?
The majority of photographers now do this as standard though some still do charge extra for it.

Q. Do you do a pre-wedding meeting?
With every Bride and Groom we sit down with them about a month before the big day to discuss in detail the plan for the day. During this meeting we discuss what photographs they want taking and between us create a “plan of attack”. This helps ensure that the day runs as smoothly as possible.

Q. What will you wear when photographing my wedding?
Again seems a silly question right? You will be surprised how many “professional” photographers turn up to photograph a wedding dressed in jeans, t-shirts and trainers. A smart business suit is our standard wedding attire and I will even colour co-ordinate my tie with your colour scheme if at all possible!

Booking Your Photographer:

As soon as you have decided on the photographer who is going to cover your big day…….. PHONE THEM!
It is not unusual for photographers to work on a “first come, first served” basis and there is nothing worse than doing all the hard work only to find that someone booked your date 2 hours earlier.

As a wedding photographer in Yorkshire, we often get booked up to two years in advance by our clients.

Many photographers will require you to pay a retainer to secure the date. This will be either a fixed amount or a percentage of the total package price and will be deducted from your total photography costs.

Remember: Make sure you get a written contract which details the amount you are paying and what you are getting.

One final thing to think about: Personality.
Chances are that your wedding photographer will spend more time with you than any of your other suppliers. Can you spend a whole day with them? Can you work with them for an extended period of time? This is a point that is often forgotten about!

If you would like any more information, or are looking for a Yorkshire wedding photographer then pop over to our website: www.markpearsonphotography.co.uk. Alternatively, give Mark a call on 0113 2295408, make an appointment (no obligation whatsoever and it’s free!) to pop in and see him and he will have a chat with you over a coffee about your big day and what to look out for when looking for a wedding photographer.

Hope this has helped and if you are getting married in the near future, I hope you have a wonderful day!

How to Choose the Right Online Photography School

Monday, November 21st, 2011

A photography career requires more than a good eye and skills with a camera; good photographers must have drive, technical know-how, creativity, and business sense. Attending a photography school online could be a great way to develop these skills. But before you apply to that online photography college, here are some hints to help you get started and eventually reach your goals.

Know Your Photography School Goals
What kind of photography do you want to practice? Are you interested in photojournalism, family portraiture, commercial photography, or special event photography? Knowing your career goals can help you narrow down programs and figure out the amount of time you can expect to spend in photography school. The Bureau of Labor Statistics states that photojournalists, industrial photographers, and scientific photographers typically need a bachelor’s degree in photography or in the field that interests them, whereas other types of photographers can take a few courses or gain knowledge through experience.

Know Yourself
Contrary to romantic images of photographers easily snapping instantly-beautiful photographs with excellent balance and proportion, a successful photography career requires a variety of skills, many of which you’ll want to develop during your course of study:

Technical expertise
A good eye
Creativity
Stamina
Good business sense

The last skill may be particularly important; according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, more than half of all photographers are self-employed, which means that good business skills are crucial for a photography career. So even if you’re interested in a branch of photography that requires less training, you may want to take online business classes just to keep your head above water financially.

Know Your Online Photography Schools
Not all online schools are equal! Infamous diploma mills often offer degrees that can be bought at a price, sometimes involving little to no work on the part of the student and, accordingly, little to no acquisition of knowledge. Don’t waste your time and money getting a degree from a diploma mill. Check out the website for the U.S. Department of Education Database of Accredited Postsecondary Institutions and Programs, where you can find out whether the online photography school in which you are interested is accredited.

Know Your Financial Aid
According to a New York Times article, online degree programs typically cost about the same as traditional programs, with the added bonus of saving on commuting gas, housing, and food. But students can save hundreds or even thousands of dollars each year on tuition through available scholarships. There are scholarships based on your major, state, ethnicity, need, gender, career goals, or even your parents’ jobs. So how do you get them? First, you have to know what they are. CNNMoney.com suggests the scholarship search Web sites Fastweb.com, Petersons, and CollegeBoard.com. Knowing where to look is the first step toward saving money on your online photography school.

Once you’ve done the homework, you’ll be better equipped for studying successfully at photography schools online. The photography field is very competitive, so make the most of your studies at online photography schools.

How To Choose Web-Camera

Monday, November 14th, 2011

Why a web-camera?
Originally web-camera set up to organize the communication and the establishment of teleconferencing via the Internet. It is up to now remains their main purpose. Although if you want you can find many other applications svezhepriobretennoy web-camera. For example, you can shoot video, take photographs, to video surveillance. A modern models can even watch the starry sky.

Web-camera is designed exclusively for multimedia network applications, in which the base rate is not on the quality of the transmitted data (sound and image), and at speed. When choosing web-camera the first thing to pay attention to compatibility with the computer’s operating system, because many models are calculated only on Windows.

The structure of web-camera includes the following components: CCD, lens, optical filter, video capture card, video compression unit, the central processor and built-in web-server, flash memory, network interface, serial ports, alarm inputs / outputs. Some models of cameras are turning devices and can perform a circular video surveillance.

Matrix web-camera
This web-based cameras, however, as any digital optical devices. Differ matrix technology manufacturing. Today, widespread development and application received two technologies – CMOS and CCD. The main difference is that CCD-issue better picture and create less “noise” (interference) than the matrix on the CMOS-sensor. But more expensive.

In addition to the sensor technology, is considered such an important parameter as the resolving power. From the permission matrix depends on the quality of transmitted images. Range of values lies in the range from 0.1 to 2 megapixels (MP), but the most popular resolution VGA, amounting to 0.3 megapixels. (frame size at the same time – 640×480). For the Internet video-conferencing have enough resolution to 320 x 240 pixels. Standard 640 x 480 pixels, which offer all the cameras, ideal for recording small videos that can be sent by e-mail. The most expensive models have a matrix with a resolution of 1 280 x 960 pixels and can do large-scale photographs.

Sensitivity matrix – a parameter that determines the minimum illumination at which the camera can shoot. Measured sensitivity in lux (lux). Especially it is necessary to emphasize that regardless of the cost, almost all cells, even with the CCD-sensors begin to “make noise, make noise, if the matrix gets enough light.

Connecting and installing web-camera
When choosing web-camera, a very close look at the type of connection to the computer. Most models are equipped with a USB-connector, but, as we know, there are two versions of this interface, and they differ greatly in speed. If a web-camera version supports USB 1.1, then the video quality is not the best: 640 x 480 dots (pixels) at 15 frames per second (or the frame rate 15 fps). This will affect the quality of the picture – it will be like a little “slow down”. Therefore, please note that the frequency of the frame was not less than 30 fps. (As a rule, now almost all web-cameras have such a frequency). Increased data stream USB 1.1 can not miss. Therefore we recommend to choose the model that support the USB 2.0.

Connect web-camera to the Internet on cell lines of communication can be via cellular modem. Data transfer rate is usually from 5 to 20 kbps. Cable modems provide Internet access over cable networks. The maximum speed of receiving data up to 40 Mbps, and data transmission rate is about 10 Mbps. Digital Subscriber Line – technology that provides bandwidth for simple copper telephone wires. Data transfer rate may vary depending on the company providing this service.

More expensive models of web-cameras are equipped with wireless interfaces. They are usually divided into two parts – a transmitter (in one case with most cameras) and the receiver, which is also connected to the connector USB. It often is used for signal transmission technology Wi-Fi.

Additional features web-camera
We have already said that the web-camera, in addition to its primary function – broadcasting information over the Internet, have a number of additional. Thus, for advanced users can choose the camera that lets you take pictures, shoot video, edit information, manage the white balance, contrast, brightness, color and gamma correction, and frame rates.

Photography
If you are going to engage in photography, the main parameters in the selection of web-cameras are a great resolution of the matrix and the amount of memory storage. 8 MB of memory allows us not only to do, but also to store images (120 image size 640 * 480, 480 images or 40 seconds of video in the format 320 * 240, or 90 seconds of video in the format 160 * 120).

Videography
When recording video the most critical is the best quality video capture. You may also need more sensitive than the built-in, microphone. Best image quality providing the camera by Logitech and Philips. The only inconvenience that may arise – is the need for constant connection with a computer cable and lack of a viewfinder.

Autofocus
Autofocus (or avtozum) is convenient because you do not have to manually configure each time focus. The camera with servo and clever electronics tune into razor sharp. Cameras with manual focusing is extremely rare.

Built-in microphone
Built-in microphone, now have almost all models of web-cameras. This is convenient, especially those that do not need to connect additional devices. And, of course, saves you time. The only nuance here may be that in most cases the sound quality of such microphones is not the best, so if you already have a good microphone is better to use them. Cameras with built-in microphone can transmit audio. Also, sound files can be transferred by the availability of audio channels in the cell.

Password protection
It occurs not in all models and serves to limit the rights of access to web-camera. By default, the video camera can be viewed from any networked computer that is equipped with a standard web-browser (eg, Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator). However, you can limit the number of persons with rights of access to web-camera, enter the password to the user level. Many web-cameras support multi-level password protection for the separation of access rights and administration.
Motion Detector – is a software module for the detection of moving in the field of web-camera installations. The detector determines the size of the object and its speed.

Fixing the camera
By the method of the physical installation of the webcam can be divided into klipsovye and desktops. Klipsovye securely attached to your LCD monitor or lid. Such cameras are often quite petite, and sometimes even embedded in the monitor. Board, as the name implies, have a platform and a leg. Although they occupy with some useful space, but give greater freedom of choice in the direction of the point of shooting.

The monitoring system with web-cameras
Now web-camera more frequently used to organize surveillance systems. Few (or one, depending on the global system) cameras, installed in a room connected to a computer from which with the help of special software is tracking. It may conclude simply visual observation or in the auto-tracking of the movement (when the camera detects motion). Preparation of the monitoring system of web-cameras allows for relatively little money to organize the qualitative observation. Of course, there is this solution and its shortcomings. Primarily, this limitation on cable length USB – the maximum distance devices 5 meters.

Quality and price
Now we can summarize and highlight the main characteristics that are worth paying attention when buying a web-camera:

1. The maximum image resolution of 640×480 pixels.
2. USB-interface to connect to a computer.
3. Frame Rate – 30 fps.
4. Automatic adaptation to a wide range of lighting

Based on these criteria, you can choose web-cameras in different price categories.

In a series of cost-fall web-kamers with a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels, auto-focusing, without built-in microphone and the interface with USB 2.0. This option is ideal for home video and for novice users.

More discerning users recommend that you stop your choice on the web-camera with a resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels, built-in microphone, who knows how to approximate the subject with a digital zoom, with the functions of automatic face tracking user. Typically, these devices support USB 2.0 and are equipped with advanced software.

The recognized leaders in the field of web-cameras are the companies Intel, Logitech, Microsoft, Philips, PerfectGift, Mustek, Genius, Creative.

How to organize a videoconference
Videoconference – this communication via the Internet in real time. In the process of communication the user has the opportunity to see how his companion, and his own image. In this part of the screen occupied by the window with the video picture, and in the remaining parts can be located windows applications to work together with the data. The quality of video is based primarily on the quality of the sound and picture. The first depends on the user’s ability to capture deviations or distortions (eg, noise or interruptions) in the stream of transmitted speech. Video quality is determined by the resolution of the image (number of dots per inch) and the frequency of the frame (the number of reproduced frames per second). For the viderkonferentsy suit almost all web-camera, it all depends on the requirements for image quality and breadth of the data link.

How to Choose Unique Wedding Photography For Loving Lasting Memories

Monday, October 17th, 2011

The number of professional wedding photographers is growing every day.  Even though the field is technically challenging and unforgiving to mistakes and the uninitiated, its ranks are constantly swelling.  With so many choices, finding unique wedding photography is growing more and more difficult as the “noise” level continues to rise.  I’ve compiled a few tips below to help you locate that “special” photographer for your wedding day!

-        Does their work speak to you?
While this may sound a bit corny, your wedding photography will be something you have for not only your lifetime, but that of your children and, hopefully, generations to come.  Keep in mind there are many “trends” in photography, some good and some bad.  While something may be really trendy now, think of how you will feel about it in 20 years when making your decision on a photography style.  A great example I came across was “shag” carpet in the 70′s.  It really was all the rage but, a mere 5-6 years later; it was getting torn out and replaced with something more practical.  Being in style is great but, unlike carpet, you can’t replace the wedding photos.

-         Check out a full wedding
Wedding photographers will, of course, always put their best foot forward on websites and magazines.  When looking for unique wedding photography however, you need to really evaluate all the photos from a wedding, not just the “greatest hits”. While most photographers have a few truly “great” shots, a truly unique wedding photographer will be able to deliver the same quality of shots throughout the majority of the wedding.  If the photographer doesn’t have an entire wedding to show you, then you may want to look further into them before making your decision.

-         Are they one of many?
This is going to be the biggest challenge when looking for unique wedding photography.  There are many, many tools widely available to wedding photographers that allow them to artistically finish off their photography without much knowledge of Photoshop or general post processing.  These “actions” do indeed give wedding photographers a huge tool set to polish their photos – just be sure you like the polish and it fits within your search for truly unique wedding photography.

Why You Should Choose Digital Photography

Friday, October 14th, 2011

Today, more people are getting hooked over Digital photography. Since the birth of digital photography, it has been easier and more convenient for people to capture the best photos they desire. Digital Photography indeed has become the wave of today and in the near future. But what if you’re still using the old mode of taking photos- the film photography? Well, think again.

For those few people who are still using film photography, here are some good reasons why you should opt for digital photography:

1.    Generally, one of the most excellent features of choosing digital photography is that its convenience. Aside from the fact that digital cameras are easy to use since they are user friendly, these cameras are also portable and you can just safely place it in your pocket anywhere you go.

How to Choose a Right Digital Photo Frame

Thursday, September 29th, 2011

This morning, I read an article titled if done right; photo slideshows can add personality and fun to a wedding. One couple want their gusts at their wedding to understand how they fell in love, so they plan to present a slideshow with photos of them growing up and growing together as a couple. Of course, the assistant is a smart and elegant digital photo frame.

It is really a neat idea and an extra way to remind you, as a guest, where you are and how special it is you are there. Because what the digital photo frame shows are not only the photos of the couple but also of important guests including you.

Slideshows have become common at weddings. Experts say they must be done properly to succeed. Choosing a right and perfect-performance digital photo frame matters much. Then how to choose a right digital photo frame?

According to the free encyclopedia-Wikipedia, a digital photo frame (also called digital media frame) is a picture frame that displays digital photos without the need to print them or use a computer.

Due to the great convenience of digital photo frame, it enjoys a growing popularity around the whole word not only among wholesale electronics manufactures but also electronics consumers. However, not all of the consumers are satisfied with the digital photo frame they purchased from a wholesale electronics online store.

Some consumers complained that a digital photo frame’s 480-by-234-pixel screen resolution is the kiss of death. It makes images appear boxy, jagged, and pixelated. Some grumble the mats for one frame’s surround suffer from poor design that gets in the way of usability. Others murmur at poor contrast levels which make images look a bit washed out… Then how to choose a really good digital photo frame? According to different reviews and experts’ suggestion, we conclude the following rules for your reference.

The first and foremost factor should be the digital photo frame’s resolution.

Surely, you want to see your pictures clearly and sharply. So please never settle for a digital photo frame with resolution below 640 * 480 Pixels. For example, if a digital photo frame’s resolution is 480 *234 pixels, this is too low to display details and most of its images will look boxy and pixilated—no bargain! Consider only frames with a resolution of 640-by-480 or higher.

The second rule you should take into consideration is the size and aspect ratio of the digital photo frame.

On today’s market, many electronics wholesalers launch various digital photo frame with the size range from mini1.5 inch to as large as 17 inch.

The choice is up to your need and taste.

Digital Photo frames typically come in one of two aspect ratios:4:3 or 16:9. By default, most point-and-shoot digital cameras capture photos in 4:3-the best fit for your photos, as 16:9 frames will have to crop a piece of the top and bottom of your photos to fit the image on the LCD screen. On the other hand, the 16:9 aspect ratio gives your images a pleasing widescreen feel, which might be a better bet for some.

Thirdly, the functions of digital photo frame.

With the rapid development of modern technology, digital photo frames have been incorporated into more advanced features and function. Most digital photo frames display the photos as a slideshow and usually with an adjustable time interval. They may also be able send photos to a printer.

Other may support additional multimedia content, such as movie clips recorded in a digital camera’s movie mode, MPEG video files and/or MP3 audio. Many can display text files. Certain frames can load pictures over the Internet from RSS feeds, photo sharing sites such as Flickr, Picasa and from e-mail. Such networked models usually support wireless (802.11) connections.

So it is also up to your needs. Of course, the price also rises up with the added functions.

Fourthly, you do not have to only focus on brand names.

Most of us had high hopes for HP’s first digital photo frame, but we are disappointed to find that the company built it around a dismal LCD riddled with scaling problems that produced jagged, grainy images. And this digital photo frame also had a hard-to-maneuver menu system that made it difficult to recommend.

On the flip side, many consumer electronics wholesaler like Chinazrh present high quality digital photo frames and other wholesale electronics. Just take the 8inch Touch Screen Digital Photo Frame with Wifi for example. This digital photo frame cannot only display sharper and clearer  pictures as you expect but also comes With many various added functions such as weather report, IP Radio, News, YouTube, Stock Gmail etc- you will achieve much more fun and convenience from the product.

With the above on mind, you are bound to choose your ideal digital photo frame. Why not take serve seconds to come to one of the best wholesale electronic online store-Chinazrh. What you are going to enjoy is not only high quality digital photo frames but also considerate and thoughtful service.

How To Choose A Wedding Photography Company in London

Tuesday, September 13th, 2011

When in your life will appear a significant event like a wedding, of course, you want that everything goes exactly as you imagine. To ensure that you will get a lot of pleasant and colorful memories from the photos of that important day, it is necessary to make the right choice of a photographer. What you need to know when choosing a wedding photography company in London?  Very often, the photographer for a wedding or other important celebrations is choosen by recommendations. This method is widely known and it is not hard to hear from someone that on his wedding he got an excellent photographer.  However, such recommendations are not always available and then you have to deal with finding yourself. First and foremost, we recommend you to make an appointment with a potential photographer. Personal meeting will give you a lot more reasons for choosing it than a phone conversation.

So, to be sure of a high quality photography at your wedding, please note the following points when you are about to choose a photographer in London:

1. A portfolio can certainly say about the photographer much more than he did. Of course, the main sign of a good photographer’s portfolio is a large number of high-quality and beautiful pictures. In this case, I would recommend to pay attention to its wedding photo shoots and many times these can be rightly attributed to a specific genre of wedding photography such as indian wedding photography style and asian wedding photography style.

2. The photographer must be able to predict interesting and important moments during the celebration. A wedding photographer with a plenty of experience which filmed enough weddings will know all the important traditions, characteristic for your wedding and will be able to anticipate the most significant moments from your ceremony. This photographer knows when and how to shoot and will not ask you to repeat the same action several times.

3. A photographer always has a responsible attitude to his work. In addition to this, there must be not only a professional camera and lens, but at least a couple of lenses for different situations. It is important that he had a spare set of equipment.

4. Always ask in advance what is included in the cost of their wedding photography services. Sometimes, wedding photographers attract customers with a low price, but then some people found out that there is still a lot of extra expenses, such as writing all the data to a CD, processing and printing photos. Therefore, the more profitable it may be a wedding photography company, whose prices are higher, but this cost is already including everything you need to get all the work done for you.
