It’s hard for me to find friends that wanna watch foreign movies with me. They hate to have to read and I hate when they’re poorly dubbed over with English, so sadly I end up just watching them alone. Thankfully though I subscribed to North Carolina directtv so I’m able to get all kinds of foreign films I can enjoy myself.

One of my favorites is a Chinese kinda comedy / action movie called ‘Kung Fu Hustle’. It’s a silly movie but there’s definitely a great story there and some good martial arts action.

I know Stephen Chow has put out a few movies in the past but I think this was the biggest one that I had heard of. Actually this was the movie that turned some of my non foreign film watching buddies into Chow fans. We can’t enjoy the movies together but at least we can talk about them and both appreciate them.

One day I’ll get my buddies to turn around. When ‘Kung Fu Hustle 2′ is out maybe I’ll invite them over to watch it and leave it as the Mandarin version with English subtitles.
